The Consul of Colombia in New York, María Isabel Nieto, welcomed the 17 artists of the We Art Colombia collective, who opened their exhibition at the Consulate. Attendees, Colombians and international guests, were able to enjoy the works developed in different techniques, artists who traveled from Colombia and some based in New York and who are part of the project.
We Art Colombia is a creative collective and an art project for Colombians, created in 2015 by Juan Mantilla, the group aims to promote Colombian art worldwide, generate high-level art exhibitions, and artistic interventions in different cities of the world, this time it was made in New York City, at the headquarters of the Consulate.
The participation of the artist and curator Ana María Camejo was highlighted, who presented a digital artistic intervention to the public. Thus, the Consulate continues to fulfill its mission of promoting and showing the best of Colombia through its artists.
The exhibition will be open to the public until November 12 at consular time.
